I’m excited to have been asked to become a co-opted governor at Shotley Bridge Primary School. I have a daughter currently in Year 3 and my son joined the school in September 2019.
As with any parent I am very interested with what is happening at school currently and what future plans are afoot. I hope I can represent the views and opinions of parents at the school and in my first year as a governor I am delighted to work closely with the early years team.
Outside of the school I help to run a local mother & toddler group and am also on the committee of another local toddler group. I was involved in the the redevelopment of Shotley Bridge playpark and take a great interest in our local community. When not volunteering or running around after my children I run my own part time business in health & wellbeing. Prior to moving to Shotley Bridge 5 years ago I worked in London for a national magazine publisher in the sales, marketing and advertising departments.
My hope is to make a positive contribution to our children’s lives and education and to work well with other governors to help carry on the successes of Shotley Bridge Primary School.
