After School Clubs

At Shotley Bridge Primary School our varied after‐school club programme offers something for every interest: budding athletes can join football, netball or games clubs to build teamwork and fitness, while creative spirits can explore seasonal crafts such as Christmas crafting clubs. Young linguists can embark on language adventures, with fun Japanese and Spanish sessions that bring new words to life through games and songs. While the chefs amongst us, don aprons to learn kitchen safety, measure ingredients and prepare simple, healthy snacks—from homemade bread to fruit tarts—fostering confidence, creativity and a taste for lifelong learning. One of our most popular clubs remains our own Musical Theatre Club, who work tirelessly throughout the year to rehearse and perform live on stage for our school community in our summer production!

Many of our clubs are offered by school staff and some of our wonderful parents, we also offer several clubs run by outside providers. These outside providers are always CRB / DBS checked in line with our Safeguarding practices. Members of school staff will always be in school during these clubs to take overall responsibility and to make sure children are cared for.

Our club offer changes from term to term and parents are sent options to choose from, before booking goes live using our parent app Arbor.

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.
